BEK Electrolytic Capacitor mounted on a yellow baseplate with sockets to accommodate the connection of 4mm plug leads. Excellent for component investigation and general circuit work. Capacitor: 100µF, 25V Electrolytic. WARNING: This device stores electrical energy in an electric field and can become harmful if it is not used appropriately. Electrolytic capacitors are polarised devices. The voltage connected to the anode (+) must be higher than the voltage connected to the cathode (-). If a voltage is connected in reverse polarity, the component will fail; this may cause overheating and explosion.
